Suffolk County Executive Candidate

Greg Fischer, 2019 Candidate for Suffolk County Executive

The Suffolk County Libertarian Party has endorsed Gregory Fischer for Suffolk County Executive in the 2019 elections.

Born in New York City, Greg Fischer (on the ballot as Gregory-John Fischer) relocated to Calverton after the events of 9/11/2001. Greg was a 9/11 volunteer responder (who is on the 9/11 health registry).

In recent years, Greg has focused on government reform both as his own self-styled advocate and as an elected board member to Americans For Legal Reform (ALR). You may have heard, Greg sued to reform the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), force the election of local trustees, preserve Long Island jobs, prevent outage disasters, and cut energy rates. If we make Greg Suffolk County Executive, he can go back to finish that LIPA reform mission.

Greg is a consultant to businesses, not-for-profits, and government. He also is a pro bono mentor/counselor/consultant with SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives, US Small Business Administration, US Dept of Commerce). With SCORE Greg is able to do business turnarounds, transitions to new generations of owners (even to employee owned), and startups (including getting people off unemployment and into their own businesses).

Justice of the Supreme Court, District 10 Candidate

Chris Garvey

The Suffolk County Libertarian Party has endorsed Christopher Garvey for Justice of the Supreme Court in Long Island’s 10th Judicial District. Chris brings years of legal experience, and a clear and unbiased approach to government. The position of justice is a crucial one for the State and the Country, and we need new voices with new ideas on the court. With a strong understanding of the law and the Constitution, he will apply the rule of law to protect the residents of Long Island, while being fair and impartial.
We welcome a fresh voice on the Court, and are sure that Chris will show the good sense and legal acumen that has been his hallmark in his new office.

Suffolk County Legislature, District 3 Candidate

Lynda for Suffolk Legislative District 3

Lynda Frego, your next Legislator for Suffolk County District 3!

The Suffolk County Libertarian Party has endorsed Lynda Frego for Legislator in Suffolk County’s Legislative District 3.

In response to the call to duty after the 9-11 attacks, Lynda joined the New York Army National Guard in 2003 and served for 9 years while also attending Suffolk County Community College. In 2015, she moved to Mastic Beach and became more involved with her community by speaking out publicly at County legislature meetings against the Red Light Camera Program. It was there that Lynda met and subsequently became the campaign manager for Stephen Ruth, Long Island’s Red Light Robin Hood, in his 2016 campaign for State Senate.

As a Soldier, Lynda was trained to live the Army Values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity and Personal Courage.

Lynda will work to restrain the unchecked spending and to stop the endemic corruption running rampant in Suffolk County, working for the benefit of the long-neglected residents of Suffolk’s District 3.
