Rochester native, millennial entrepreneur chosen to run for Lieutenant Governor
Albany, New York – New York Gubernatorial candidate Larry Sharpe (L) chose a running mate this weekend after securing the official nomination of the New York Libertarian Party. Andrew Hollister (L), a Rochester native of the 19th Ward, was selected by Sharpe and confirmed by the party at their annual convention in East Greenbush on Saturday. “Larry asked me to run for Lieutenant Governor because we share the same vision for New York,” said Hollister, who started an information technology company at 18, and grew it to employ six people. “We envision a New York where there are jobs and opportunities. We envision a New York that families move to, not run away from.”
Hollister has been very active in the Rochester community, serving as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician, volunteering with the Amateur Radio Emergency Service and Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service, helping local schools with outdoor programs, and running for city council. Hollister’s love for his home state of New York and desire to raise a family in it are pushing him to seek the responsibility of Lieutenant Governor.
